All puppies are getting bigger real fast. They passed the 1 kg mark and they start to walk.

 The first teeth are breaking through.

Avari starts spending more time with us again. Some more days and we will have to feed them as well. The start walking the first steps.

The names and their meaning:

Vitnir means Wolf Vaskur means the brave one, the brisk one

Valka is a pet name

Vinur means friend

Vilja  means the willing one

Update June, 8th 2009

Vitnir & Vilja reached 1000 gramms and their eyes start to open a little bit. Some more days and they will see the world and walk around.

 

 

Puppies are born

May, 28th09

They are born. This morning from 8:55 until 11:03 Avari has born 6 puppies. 4 male and 2 female wolfdogs. No complications, Avari knew what to do and did everything by herself.

Vitus died tonight. He was very passive after birth. Bye bye little man.

Character of the dogs 

Avari Jantarowa Wataha

Avari is an absolutely friendly open bitch. She meets people very open. If somebody is talking to her she is contacting the person immedeately and is very happy about the contact. She works carefully and reliably in the obedience. She can work concentrated and hold concentration a long time. She likes to please her master and she is working hard. Meeting dogs she is confident and friendly. Training her means to be very quiet and careful because she is sensitive but learns fast. A gesture or a friendly word is a gift for her.  

Tlapka z Molu Es (Vidux)

Vidux has been a calm and hard working dog from the beginning. He loves working. Aport is fun, tracing is fun, obedience is fun, cycling is fun. He is asking for work. When we have not been training for a while Vidux comes and is asking for it. In a couple of days he learned sleddog comands and he is using them safe. He can lead a small team of dogs in front of the sled and training cart. You can recall him at almost every situation. His very favorite work is nose work: Tracing anything. He works reliable and he can concentrate for a long time. On a trace he can always go back and restart searching in case of problems. At home he is our clown. He carries anything and he is talking to us and he is in a good mood all the time. With poeple he is neutral and friendly if he knows them. He is taking great care of his females. He wants work and he wants challanges!

The Mating

Both dogs are absolutely willing to work and cooperate. The can concentrate and they want to be a team. They have fun working and it is easy to train them. We are sure their puppies will be successful in work and sport and are great companions in every situation. They will be safe in any enviroment when well socialised.
